I rather be here, this room is magical!

I’m so […] glad to see you! This week’s been really tough.

Parents’ Reviews

My child looks forward to her sessions and never complains about having to go. This is the biggest most obvious sign she enjoys the sessions.

Mother of a 9 year-old girl

who was referred for increased anxiety.

I have never known anybody who has listened to, known, understood, and helped my child as much as Carolina has.

Mother of a 7 year-old boy

who was referred for exhibiting frustration and aggression.

My child’s mood and general wellbeing has improved since therapy started. She is now sleeping in her own bedroom.

Father of a 10 year-old girl

who was referred for increased anxiety and unexplained fears.

When I broached the subject of her dad moving out so suddenly, my child confidently said ‘we don’t need to talk about this anymore, I’m ok’ which is great! I put this down to her being supported beautifully by Carolina in play therapy. I’m no longer concerned about my child.

Mother of a 9 year-old girl

who was referred for experiencing parental separation.

I suspected my child was having problems at school, but when I asked him, he wouldn’t tell me. Since starting Play Therapy, he has become much more vocal about the difficulties he encounters at school; we have since been able to take action. He is now much happier, and our relationship has grown even stronger.

Mother of an 8 year-old boy

with speech difficulties who was referred for low self-esteem and depression.

My child’s OCD has reduced significantly after just 12 sessions and throughout Covid. Carolina supported us all as we remained on the CAMHS waiting list, and then she worked with the CAMHS assessors to make sure his transition went smoothly.

Mother of a 9 year-old boy

who was referred for exhibiting increased OCD traits.

These last few months have really helped my child cope with new situations and to now express himself more freely. Play Therapy has helped us all so much in to helping him at whatever ‘life’ may throw at us. He is so much happier, and I can genuinely take his prompt as to know how to handle a situation more appropriately now. Thank you so much xx

Mother of a 9 year-old boy

who was referred for increased anxiety and parental ill health.

My child has built up a great relationship with Carolina. Carolina has always been there when she said she would; if something changed, she would inform my child prior to. My child loves his time with her and it is something I feel he needs.

Father of a 13 year-old boy

with Autism who was referred for violent behaviour and school exclusion.

I’d like to add that I have enjoyed observing the client/therapist relationship between you and my child. It’s very obvious that you care much about my child and that is quite beautiful to see. Thank you for all your time, effort and thought.

Mother of a 9 year-old girl

who was referred for experiencing parental separation.

Carolina being bi-lingual really eased things. Our meetings could be held in our mother-tongue (Brazilian Portuguese) and she understood our cultural background and circumstances. Our child has Autism with severe speech difficulties, she often uses interchangeable language. We were confident that Carolina would be able to support and understand her, and we were not wrong.

Parents of a 4 year-old girl

with Autism who was referred for irritability and increased frustration.

I have an older child with additional needs, but my little one who has needs of his own was being left behind by the system and was struggling at school. Carolina really listened, she was always present in meetings and ready to advocate for my child; he finally had a voice in her! Thank you so much for everything you have done for my child and for us all! x

Mother of a 6 year-old boy

who was referred for experiencing panic attacks and refusing to go to school.

I have observed definite positive changes: socialising, improved behaviour at home, being able to be more independent and alone in the house, increased confidence in being unattended, more confident about being independent, and she seems to be feeling safer.

Foster-carer of a 5 year-old girl

who was referred for challenging behaviour at school, peer difficulties and high levels of anxiety.

Just to say thank you again for all your help, support and kindness.

Mother of a 9 year-old girl

My child is a very happy person at the moment.

Father of a 9 year-old girl

who was referred for increased anxiety.

Carolina worked with us and was an advocate for my child at the meetings with school.

Mother of a 9 year-old boy

who was referred for experiencing bullying and harassment at school.

Our child leaves her Play Therapy sessions with Carolina bouncy; she has developed a great sense of humour we never knew existed! We are having a great time together and riding our bikes!

Parents of a 5 year-old girl

who was referred for not wanting to engage in family life nor try new things.

We can hug our little girl! She is now tolerating touch! Thank you so much Carolina!

Parents of a 4 year-old girl

who lives with a life-threatening illness and who was referred for having had a series of invasive surgeries since birth.

Thank you for all your wonderful feedback and for inviting me to walk alongside you, respectfully witnessing your child’s journey to self-discovery.
